According to the arguments of Colomina and Wigley, designing activities plays an essential role in human life. The article precisely discusses how people’s life has been affected by the artifacts as the primary form of creating action. Consequently, the two authors discuss several important artifacts in human life, especially in today’s error in this journal’s response; Colomina and Wigley first point out the critical role that artifacts play in accomplishing people’s daily satisfaction (Colomina & Wigley 2016). Both authors argue that they cannot fix artifacts; thus, they can interact with each other, promoting people’s potentials and bringing new challenges to human beings. This paper aims to compress Colomina and Wigley’s arguments towards how artifacts affect human beings’ essential life in today’s error.

Even though most people are architects, they cannot predict and change artifacts’ impacts on human beings. In response to the authors, arguments, people should understand that artifacts are just natural, and no human being can manipulate them despite the impacts they may pose to the people. In other words, basing the arguments of Colomina, artifacts have changed the general living of human beings over a long period. In the new architect’s technology, minor issues like drawing buildings that need large-scale dimensions and artifacts have helped people effectively and efficiently. Therefore, our responses show that artifacts positively impact our real lives due to their favorable results in people’s lives.

According to the authors’ arguments, the artifact’s results might be positive or negative, though it depends on the affected person’s reactions in most cases. According to Colomina 2016, the knowledge of artifacts focuses on improving people’s lives from one point to another but with the trending technology. This journal shows that the highest percentage of people internationally use designing knowledge in different ways such as social life, healthcare, and education. Furthermore, the article stipulates that none of the sectors can survive without using knowledge of artifacts. Consequently, in this response, I agree that designing is the backbone of world construction since now people depend on artifacts technology. Designing improves our life thus reducing the proximity between people. In his arguments, Wigley supports how designing technology has improved people’s life efficiency by creating a more conducive environment. In this response, I appreciate designing technology since it has yielded numerous benefits and pushes all the individuals to produce better designs. Both Colomina and Wigley discuss inventions of air conditioners as the significant benefit emanating from the designing technology.

The inventions have empowered suitable room temperature for human beings to live such that they cannot experience coldness during winter or hotness during summer. However, despite the positive impacts of the technology, there are still adverse effects. The air conditioners are believed to produce freon gases into the atmosphere, which speeds up global warming (Colomina & Wigley 2016). A recent study shows that most human designs accelerate the possibility of human extinction due to exposure to toxic gases. The most significant challenge people face today is the invention of techniques that minimize negative impacts. However, it appears rigid and impossible to achieve accurate and less influential plans since the technology seems to overstretch people’s efforts. This response shows that the relationship between humans and artifacts remains a sophisticated idea that cannot be easily solved.

According to the Colomina and Wigley, this paper answers the question, of who are human beings especially in today’s error. This paper summaries how designing and artifacts technology has positively impacted general living of the people since from 19th century up today’s error. Additionally, this article responses different arguments made by Colomina and Wigley in their journals basing on the development of artifacts and designing technology. Despite positive impacts of designing technology, the paper discusses several negatives impacts such as increased global warming which has resulted from toxic gases emanating from the technology. Consequently, the article discuss how designing technology has assisted constructors and engineers in the sector of the construction. According to my personal responses, designing technology has improved the standard of living by creating conducive and peaceful environment to human life.
