About me:

I am an experienced Secondary School teacher, teaching English Language and Literature to undergraduate level. I am a senior Exam Marker for Cambridge Exam Board, a lecturer at university teaching creative writing, literature and history part-time to undergraduates. I am a part time law student retraining as an advocate/Barrister at a leading UK Law School. I teach all writing types: writer’s craft, autobiographical writing, legal debating, the art of persuasion and rhetoric, discursive writing to argue, reading to perform for theatre and writing skills to all levels, including postgraduate level essay and referencing skills using both Harvard and footnotes systems.

I read History at Oxford, gaining only firsts and 2:1 levels, and have a commendation in Masters literature and a BA.(Hons) in History alongside my Post Graduate Certificate Education in Secondary English (2:1). I am an experienced teacher and tutor with experience of teaching in UK schools and in India. I taught Bahraini and international students worldwide through the British Council. As a writer I specialise in history, English language, literature, creative writing and politics with an ability to also write on sociology and cultural studies. I have a vast knowledge of Indian culture, music, literature and Middle Eastern cultural history.
