For more than 20 years I have worked with children and families who have complex needs, including education, health and social, in a wide range of settings. I have a BSc (Honours) in Psychology and a BA in Social Work. I am also a qualified moderator for childcare and education studies. I have held both research and teaching posts within the field of higher education and I am experienced in academic writing, having written several articles which have been published, including contributions to academic text books. Although I have a broad knowledge base, my specific professional interests are related to all aspects of child development, caring for children and young people, parenting assessment and child protection.
