Dr John Verdi

About me:

My current degrees are MB, BS, LRCP, MRCS, DRCOG, MRCGP. All obtained from London University. I have spent 25 years working in the NHS and in Private healthcare in various capacities, and therefore have an intimate practical knowledge of the workings of the NHS. My career has fortunately been varied and I have held many different posts including Anatomy Demonstrator, Surgeon, General Practitioner and Research Consultant to the Institute of Consumer Ergonomics. I have written four Internationally published research papers, one of which won the prestigious “Blue Ribband” award from 900 submitted papers at the SEA conference in Detroit. I have worked on several Nursing examination boards both setting and marking Certificate, Diploma and Degree level papers. I am therefore fully conversant with all aspects of the Nursing curriculum and current examination requirements. I have lectured extensively on all aspects of health care and have held pre-graduate and post-graduate teaching posts at several UK universities. I have a particular interest in Sports Medicine and have been a visiting Lecturer at Loughborough University for many years. I have retired from active practice but still continue to enjoy academic writing in various forms.
