Due to the increased number of patients in health care facilities, there is an increased demand for nursing professionals. In most health care systems, a licensed nurse is allocated to the most basic nursing duties, whereas a registered nurse, such as an Advanced Nursing Practice (ANP) handles more advanced responsibilities. Most ANP collaborates with skilled doctors in the treatment implementation strategies for all the patients. Therefore, as a registered nurse, an individual can specialize in various fields. A significant role why a nurse practitioner gets an advance training is to carry their careers a step farther to do what an RN has not been licensed to do. Again, by advancing farther from their master of science in nursing, they can now play the role of doctors. Therefore, nursing practitioners are essential because they ensure that they manage patient’s disease prevention and promote their health care.

Among all nursing practices, the nurse practitioner has become one of the most popular nursing roles. Besides, they are one of the fastest growing personnel in the United States as they have a broad scope of professional practices and can fit in various fields and settings in a hospital. According to Linzer et al. 2017, since they possess advanced pharmacology and pathophysiology skills, they have become a significant care provider in many healthcare facilities. During their training, they acquired clinical skills as well as leader competence that makes them responsible for patient’s health care outcomes. Nursing practitioners ensure a patient’s safety by looking at an evidence-based approach (Xue, Smith, & Spetz, 2019). They have advanced information technology skills making it easy to operate and make the effective decision making. Therefore, their role is clinical because they offer most of their services directly to their patients. The NPs are qualified individuals who can participate in a research-based study and also in policy-making activities.

Nonetheless, in order to understand this course better, I would prepare interview questions that I would ask an advanced practice clinician. So, the first thing that I would do is greet him and go direct to the questions. The first question that I would ask him is how he evaluates success in the position he is. Again, I would ask him what made him start this type of career. The questions here would help me analyze my goals and missions as a nurse. The third question would be about the challenges that he is facing. I have a passion for being at his position; therefore, I need to know how he managed to be in that place. Why did you choose to work in this place? The question will help me to understand whether I am in the right place or not. The other thing that I would consider asking is how he manages his time, making sure he has time for his family and the demanding hospital. On the sixth question, I would ask whether he is comfortable with the work. At least it is good to know whether an individual is happy in leadership (Kilpatrick., 2020). Why were you given this position? I also want to know whether it was just a favor or he had the skills. Would you change this career in future? And lastly, I would ask about what he has learnt so far. These are some of the questions that I will ask on 3/02/2021, including whether he was comfortable with the salary.

In conclusion, the nursing practitioner has currently become an important part of the health care system. They play a major role in the patient and also ensuring that their data have been well kept. Their advanced knowledge and skills in pharmacology and pathophysiology have made it possible to perform standardized quality care. From the discussion above, we see that one of the most important individuals in the clinical setting is nursing. They have advanced information technology, making it very easy for the doctors to identify the disease that a patient has been suffering from for ages. They keep the patient’s data well organized and therefore because they serve the same care level as that of physicians and in most cases, they can also serve as a patient’s constant health care providers.
