One thing we can all agree on is that right now, we have a lot of time on our hands. Maybe you’ve finished university for the summer or even finished your course, either way, you might be starting to think about life after education. If progressing your future career is something on your mind, it’s a good idea to look into online courses that can help boost your experience. There are hundreds of platforms available to you, but here are a few you might be interested in:

LinkedIn Learning

Particularly if you’re still at university, LinkedIn Learning might be one of your best options. It can be accessed through a free trial but you can also get them free throughout your education by linking it to your university. There are thousands to choose from no matter your industry and they can be posted straight to your LinkedIn profile once complete! It’s a great way to show off to future employers the extra work you’ve been doing. And you get a certificate (who doesn’t want one of those).

Facebook for Business

If you’re particularly interested in a career through social media or marketing then Facebook has you sorted. Nowadays social media is an important part of any company and if you’re interested Facebook has plenty of free courses to teach you the best ways to use it! Maybe you want to advertise a product or promote your content? Facebook has clear videos that show you exactly how to do both and more.

Centre of Excellence courses

The Centre of Excellence is a website full of courses in a large range of different areas, meaning there will almost definitely be something for you. The courses are industry recognised and can be completed at any time after they’ve been purchased. Some of the courses can be a little pricey but if you use their code LEARNATHOME during lockdown, you can get any of the courses for just £29.

Learn Digital with Google

One website you might not have thought about would be Google. There are actually a large number of courses available through the website on things like coding, marketing, social psychology and more! They are created by different platforms and universities across the world so you’re guaranteed to learn a lot. They can be quite long but definitely worth it! Besides, there’s not much else to do at the moment.

Future Learn

Future Learn has many short courses that are perfect for right now. Most of them are free but you can occasionally buy extra benefits if you’re interested! Also, when I say they have a course on everything, I mean it. The courses are a certain amount of hours a week and usually run for two weeks or three (some even longer). They are just a great way to spend your time wisely and you may even enjoy them!

If any of these aren’t for you there is also Udemy, The Open University and many other course websites that may have what you’re looking for.
