Below you will find recent and relevant news updates and information from the Ivory Research team. Please give us your views, opinions and feedback on any issues by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, we would love to hear from you.
Thank you all for your support over the last few months with our free topics offer for our clients, this has been very successful and something we would like to continue to offer from time to time with your continued support.
The workflow is quieter around this time of year and will normally pick up as we head into October. Please take the time now to check your writers log profile and make any adjustments regarding subjects and order types before we get busier again, please also ensure that your contact telephone numbers are up to date:
Deadlines – change in standard delivery time Monday – Friday
We are changing the standard delivery deadline on normal weekdays to 10pm from 11pm. This is necessary to help us to effectively handle the large number of emails with completed papers at this time of the day. This will take effect from the 1st September.
Unfortunately, although this is a quieter time of the year, the number of orders being submitted late is steadily increasing and this has become problematic. Please ensure that you adhere to stated deadlines, requesting deadline extensions should be exceptional and be requested well ahead of the paper submission deadline agreed when you accepted the work. If you are late delivering a paper it is vital that keep in contact with us.
Checking through orders before quoting/accepting
Before accepting or quoting on an order please ensure you fully understand the client’s requirements. If you are unsure please seek clarification before providing a price or accepting the work. We understand that you are all keen to take work; however failing to do this can lead to client dissatisfaction and the creation of more work for both yourself and us dealing with resulting issues.
We really appreciated you all handling the increase in the volume of emails and number of orders whilst responding promptly when orders were offered. A big thanks as well for accommodating our procedural changes regarding emails in the midst of the busy season, this was not ideal, however it helped us tremendously in being able to handle the increased number of orders.
Please be mindful of the following points both during busy seasons and at other times:
Please do not ask for extensions just before a paper is due to be submitted. If you need an extension, request this before accepting the work or at the very least when we send you a ‘paper due’ reminder email. If we can extend a deadline to help you we will. Sometimes this is not possible though.
These few things can help ensure that orders are handled efficiently and that we can provide the high level of customer service our client’s expect.
We look forward to receiving your feedback and thoughts.
Edit & Improvement orders
These orders can often be problematic due to a mis-match of client expectations and work actually done. Please check all attachments and the details from the order form thoroughly before providing a quote. Please also explain clearly what your fee includes and only provide prices for the standards you are confident of enhancing the work to.
In particular please ensure:
N.B. If the client requests for tutor comments to be addressed and this contradicts the other instructions detailed on the order form, please verify this with the client first.
We will be getting much busier now and it is important that we all work as efficiently as possible. Therefore we would like to ask you all to be mindful of the following:
First and foremost thank you for your hard work and support throughout the busy season. We know that some of you have felt the strain a little, as there are certain subject areas that became incredibly busy; this led to some of you being a little bombarded with emails. We appreciate you working with us during these times to ensure we can still deliver the excellent service that our clients have come to expect.
As you may be aware we are in our busiest period for dissertation orders.
Please ensure that you are familiar with our dissertation procedures as these order types are more complex. Here is a link for you to review our procedures for these orders if needed:
Plagiarism / Paraphrase Plagiarism
I am sure that you are all aware that paraphrasing another source without the proper attribution is considered plagiarism. Plagiarism detection software picks up word-for-word plagiarism; however it will often not detect paraphrase plagiarism. This practice is, however, still a form of plagiarism, and if detected will be treated the same as plagiarism.
If plagiarism is detected in the work you complete you will not be paid for that work and you will not be offered any new work for a minimum period of 3 months, subsequent incidences will result in the termination of our contract with you.
Plagiarism causes immense damage to our reputation and results in loss of business.

Starting and confirming
If you express an interest in completing an order please ensure that you check your emails regularly afterwards. We are experiencing a number of issues lately where writers are saying they can complete an order but once we have asked them to start they are not confirming promptly. This causes severe delays in ensuring that work is allocated and underway.
We will be getting much busier soon as we approach March and April. During this period it is of particular importance that we all work as efficiently as possible. Therefore we would like to ask you all to be mindful of the following:
Please remember that before submitting the work you should:
Edit & Improvement orders
We have recently changed the template used to send these orders out to you. We have experienced a few problems recently with writers providing a quote and then further down the line realising that there is more work involved than initially was thought and asking for a larger fee or to pull out of the order. To avoid this please ensure that you read ALL attachments. If you believe a re-write would be easier then please advise this at the outset. Once we have provided a client with a fee we cannot go back to them and ask for more money unless their requirements change, they have completed the order form incorrectly or they send additional information which changes the nature of the request.
Refer a Friend Scheme
Don’t forget our ‘Refer a Friend Scheme’. Currently we are looking for Economics, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Law and Linguistics writers at Masters Level in particular at the moment, so if you know anyone who meets our requirements and may be interested in working with us, then please let them know (All candidates should hold at least a 2:1 standard degree from a UK university, obtained within the past five years. Preference will be given to candidates with a Masters or PhD degree.)
To find out more about please ask them to send their CV and a covering letter to Amanda at firstname.lastname@example.org. Currently we pay £50 for every writer you refer; this fee is increased to £75 for Finance and Accounting writers. When they have successfully completed their first three assignments we will make the referral payment to you. To ensure you receive the referral bonus, please make sure your friend tells us you were the person who referred them!
New Service – Annotated Bibliography
We are delighted to advise that we have an addition to the portfolio of services we offer our clients.
Please click on the link below for more information:
There will be 4 categories:
1. Indicative annotated bibliography
This form of annotated bibliography indicates what the source is about, lists the significant topics and defines the concept of the source.
2. Informative annotated bibliography
This is a summary of the source that tells the reader the thesis, the argument or hypothesis, the results and conclusions of the source.
3. Evaluative annotated bibliography
This form requires the writer to assess the strengths and weaknesses of a source. The writer will critically evaluate the source in terms of its quality and relevancy. *Note: 20% additional charge.
4. Combination annotated bibliography
This is known as the most common form of annotated bibliography. This form contains a combination of information on the source and a critical evaluation of the source. *Note: 20% additional charge.
The pricing will be based on £10 per source. You will need to provide 100 – 200 words per source unless otherwise stated.
If the client selects an Evaluative or Combination approach then the fee will be increased by 20%.
The client will still be able to select a free abstract or executive summary when they order so please ensure that you deliver this with the completed order if required.
It is vitally important that you check you have access to any specific sources requested before accepting the work. If accessing a specific source requires additional expense for you then please advise and we can approach the client regarding this.
We will pay you £75 for Master’s and above qualified; Business, Finance, Law and Economics writers and £50 for writers in other subject or academic levels, who are successful in their application.
Payment is made when they have successfully completed their first three assignments. To ensure you receive the bonus, please ensure your friend tells us you were the person who referred them!
Abstract / Executive Summaries and / or contents pages.
We have noticed recently that writers are forgetting to include certain specified requirements from the order form. For example, writers are not including an abstract or executive summary and /or contents pages when it has been requested. Please ensure that you follow the instructions on the order form carefully and be aware of the added extras that a client may have requested. Please also note that these are provided free of charge for the client and should not use any of the word count allocation of the order.
Our policy regarding word count is that all work must be no less than 1% under and no more than 10% over the specified word count excluding the abstract, table of contents and the references.
Our next busy season….
Our next busy period will be here soon and we are looking forward to an increase in work on offer to you all. Please be sure to check your emails as regularly as possible during this time. We would also ask that you advise of any periods you will be unavailable to prevent a delay in work being successfully allocated.
